A Day on the Harbor for our Families

(Casey Cares Foundation)

 Almost 100 Casey Cares children and family members arrived at the Downtown Sailing Center for a much anticipated Group Party.  The older children and their families were assigned a private instructor and their own sailboat for the morning, while the younger children and their families boarded a pirate ship for an excursion.  A big thank you to the folks at Urban Pirates, The Downton Sailing Center, T. Furr and Associates, and Costco for making the day possible.

Planned throughout the year, group parties serve as wonderful opportunities for Casey Cares families to surround themselves with companionship and support.  Having a common bond, the children lose themselves in the fun and make fast friends; their parents meet, empathize, and even learn from other parents enduring similar treatments for complicated diseases.
