Casey Cares Girls Get Glamorous

(Casey Cares Foundation)
Glitz and glamour filled the air as Casey
Cares Foundation arranged a special afternoon
for our families. Cartoon Cuts in
White Marsh Mall opened their hearts and doors
by providing a day of glamour to girls in our
programs. While Cartoon Cuts staff styled
hair and painted nails for the girls and their
sisters, make-up was professionally applied by
Laurel Hargadon, the mother of one of our Casey
Cares’ children. The diva-like day would
not have been complete without
freeze dance, a limbo contest, a delicious
cookie cake, and a special walk down the
“runway” for the girls to show off their new
look.
Pampering these girls with this day of
beauty was something quite different than their
usual reality of hospital visits and doctors
appointments. Group Parties are a very
special part of the programs provided by Casey
Cares Foundation. They serve as a
wonderful opportunity for the families that we
serve to surround themselves with companionship
and support.
Once again, a huge thank you goes out to Ellen Giordano at Cartoon Cuts headquarters, Terry and the entire staff at the White Marsh Mall Cartoon Cuts, Bob Mulfinger at The Great Cookie, and Laurel Hargadon for making this such a memorable day for our children. As Ellen happily stated, “The best part of the entire party was knowing how much it meant to the girls. So nice to be able to bring them some smiles.”
