It was a great night for camping. There was a full moon, the stars were out and not a drop of rain in the sky.
No, we were not in Patapsco State Park or
on the beach in Assateague. We were in
the forest of the University of Maryland
Hospital for Children. This evening was
the first of many monthly Kami’s Jammies pajama
parties for the pediatric inpatients at the
hospital. Each child had the opportunity
to pick out a brand new pair of pajamas and
were invited for s’mores, movies and games at
the campfire themed party.
The Casey
Cares Foundation realizes that children on
extended stays at the hospital often need some extra
support. The Kami’s Jammies Program
provides new sleepwear and themed pajama
parties to children on extended hospital
stays.
We would like to thank The Parrot Head Club of Annapolis, Ms. Mack’s first grade class and Lou-Lou’s Memorial Day Party Goers for supplying us with this month’s pajamas. Also thank you Margo Hawver and Pam Weinzzirl for helping with party. Click here to see Baltimore Sun Article
