Chesapeake Bay Sport Fishing

Five Casey Cares families sailed off with Chesapeake Bay Sport Fishing and fished the bay until dark while enjoying box lunches donated by Heavenly Ham of Severna Park on Father's Day.

Kevin, an eight year old boy from Catonsville, MD on treatment at Sinai Children’s Hospital for Langerhaus cell histiocytosis, had a Father’s Day to remember.  They spend so little time together due to Kevin’s intense hospital treatments and his dad’s working to pay for the medical bills. “Thank you so much for the boat ride!” exclaimed Kevin. “It was exciting because I caught a big fish. We saw a shark near my friends bay house & that was unexpected. Captain Steve & Storm were very helpful. My fish was the first catch of the day & it was tasty. I had lots of fun with my dad.”

“It always feels good to give back to people who need it,” commented Rich Schott, owner of Chesapeake Bay Sport Fishing, “We are very fortunate and want to do for others.”  This event is part of Family Festivities, one of six programs of the organization.
