Magic Happened...

Magic happened last Friday for three Casey Cares families.  For a third year in a row, the Casey Cares Foundation teamed up with the Something mAAgic Foundation in sending Casey Cares families with critically ill children to Orlando, FL for a week. Emily, Jeffrey, Faith and their families began their magical trips with festive and colorful Bon Voyage parties at BWI, Reagan National, and Dulles Airports where they enjoyed carnival games, decorations, refreshments, music and other surprises designed especially for the kids.

This trip is the Something mAAgic Foundation’s annual marquee event - mAAgic? flight which offers children with life-threatening medical conditions an unforgettable, cost-free vacation experience in Orlando, FL.  Staying at Give Kids The World Village, a 70 acre resort that provides memorable experiences to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, they will be treated to tickets to DisneyWorld and all central Florida has to offer. These trips are part of the Celebration Vacation program, one of six programs of Casey Cares, providing getaways for families in order for them to spend quality time together to replenish their spirits.

“Something mAAgic Foundation is such an awesome organization, and we are thrilled that they have once again selected Casey Cares as one of their beneficiary organizations for a third year in a row,” stated Casey Baynes, Casey Cares Executive Director.  “They have created so many smiles and memories for kids and families who are so deserving of this trip.”

“We are so excited to once again sponsor Casey Cares' children for this year's mAAgic? flight event,” said  Laurie Barragan, Something mAAgic Foundation, President.  “We hope to continue working with this wonderful organization for many years to come."   

Forty courageous children and their families from around the globe participated in the 17th yearly event with travel generously donated by American Airlines Kids In Need? program.  Something mAAgic Foundation are employees from American Airlines who help create magical memories for children with chronic or life-threatening ilnesses.
